All we need is great Coffee.
A self-confessed coffee snob, the first thing I hunt down in any new place is a really good cup of coffee. Luckily, Cornwall is blessed with some exceptional roasters - Rising Ground, Origin and Yallah among them. If the Nespresso at Burrow Cott doesn’t quite scratch the itch, these are my top three spots for a proper caffeine fix.
Rising Ground
Our local roastery, and a hidden gem. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the cottage across the fields. Very relaxed, no frills – but the coffee is world-class.

Stong Adolfos
Serving Origin coffee, a stylish roadside stop for excellent coffee & brunch. Plenty of space and always buzzing.
Dog Friendly; 2 minutes drive.
Fee’s
Serving Yallah Coffee, perfect for a bacon sarnie, pre-beach snacks or a coffee while you browse. Their salads and cakes are also worth picking up for a picnic.
