Nothing like a walk to clear the mind.

Cornwall has one of the most dramatic coastlines in the UK, with countless stunning walks just a short drive from Burrow Cott. Perfectly positioned between both sides of the Camel Estuary, you’re truly spoilt for choice.

Constantine Bay, Booby’s Bay & Trevose Head.

Best done at low tide (from 2 hours before until 2 hours after). Check tide times before setting out.

Booby’s Bay is full of crystal-clear rock pools, some deep enough to swim in - so bring your swimmers! If the tide’s low enough, you might also spot the old shipwreck.

- Parking: Small car park at Constantine Bay: ///angel.mingles.regretted

Larger seasonal car park nearby: ///brownish.madness.orders

- Walk route: Enter Constantine beach and walk around the rocks to Booby’s Bay (///corded.hike.craftsmen). Climb the rocks or return to the Constantine steps ///bumping.incurs.squirted) to join the coastal path. The cliffs rise quickly here - it’s safest to keep dogs on leads. Continue towards Trevose Head to see the blowhole (///propose.stood.admiral) and the lighthouse (///armrests.describes.cheaply). If you’ve still got energy, head further along to Mother Ivey’s Bay (dogs on lead from 10am–6pm).

Rock, Daymer Bay, Brea Hill & St Enodoc Church.

A gentler estuary walk with big views, peaceful dunes, and some great local food stops.

- Start with coffee from Fee’s Deli in Rock (highly recommended!).

- Parking: Rock car park: ///clipboard.adopting.armed

- Walk route: At low tide, walk along Rock beach and around Brea Hill to Daymer Bay. Follow the path across the golf course to St Enodoc Church (///bolsters.trapdoor.logo) - a hidden gem. From here, loop over Brea Hill (///foot.tidying.other) or around the base via the dunes back to Rock. Finish with lunch at Four Boys or The Mariners (book ahead for dog-friendly tables). Or take the ferry to Padstow for a longer outing.

Pentire Point, The Rumps & Lundy Bay (challenging but stunning).

The most dramatic of the three - rugged coastline, steep climbs, and sweeping views. Dogs on leads recommended for safety.

- Parking: National Trust Pentire car park: ///avocado.folks.clotting

- Route options:

1. Head to Baby Bay (///launch.apprehend.renewals) and follow the coastal path to Pentire Point (///sideboard.reissued.ears), then loop back.

2. Alternatively, walk towards Lundy Bay (///covenants.lion.cure), a local secret perfect for a low-tide swim.

Continue on to Doyden Castle (///adventure.mornings.list, as seen in Fisherman’s Friends 2), or all the way to Port Isaac if you’re up for it.

This route is steep in places, so sturdy shoes are essential. It may not be suitable for smaller children.
