Bring your best friend.
Burrow Cott was designed with dogs in mind - the outdoor bath is primarily for mucky pups (and only secondarily for sandy humans!) Two medium-sized dogs are welcome for a small additional fee, and you’ll find bowls and treats waiting for you on arrival. You’re only steps from quiet footpaths, the village green, and miles of countryside walks. Many of our favourite beaches, cafés, and pubs also welcome dogs, so you never have to leave them behind while exploring North Cornwall.

Walks & Wee Stops.
Burrow Cott is a dog-friendly cottage in a very dog-friendly village - you’ll find plenty of options for walkies right on your doorstep.
Quick trips: The shared footpath behind the cottage is grassy and suitable for quick wees. There’s also a small village green nearby.
Longer walks:
• Cornfield Footpath – About 20 metres from the courtyard gate you’ll find a footpath across the field - this is the way to rising ground coffee shop. ///proved.unusable.activism
• Village Churchyard – Just across the green, you’ll find a beautiful churchyard surrounding the historic village church. Quiet, peaceful, and popular with local dog walkers. ///handbags.winners.crops
• Coronation Park – Head 8 minutes up the country lane towards Wadebridge and you’ll reach a large dog field with panoramic views across town and out to the moors. ///toolbar.drizzly.tricks
Local tip: There are likely more dogs than people in the village, and everyone’s very relaxed. Many walk their dogs off-lead through the lanes. Just a heads-up - the neighbouring sheepdogs may bark from their pickup truck if you pass by too closely!

House Rules.
We try to keep house rules to a minimum and don’t believe in unrealistic and restrictive dog rules.
The carpets in Burrow Cott are made out of natural seagrass, they are hard wearing but stain easily with liquid and cannot be commercially cleaned. Please make sure doggies are dry and clean before letting them into carpeted areas.
The kitchen is flagstone and is a great place for dogs to lounge whilst drying off. There’s a dog-gate at the bottom of the stairs to keep them contained.
Covers for the sofas are provided, dogs are welcome to lounge on the sofa’s but please keep them covered and again, make sure they are dry and clean before relaxation commences.
Dogs are allowed upstairs if accompanied but please keep them off the beds.
Dogs may stay at home in the property if they are contained in the kitchen area, are non-destructive and do not suffer from separation anxiety. The ring doorbell will notify us of excessive barking - whilst the odd woof is expected, a distressed dog is neither fair on your doggy or the neighbours. We have an extensive list of dog friendly coffees, eats and beaches so they never need to be left behind!
